Forum Issue
I just was in the process of typing post in this thread. The browser suddenly refreshed to another thread on this site. I didn't click anything, I didn't touch the mouse. The browser just navigated to another thread. I'm not going to try and retype the post - it would take too long.

Reason: Moved posts to new thread in Informed Webmaster Support and Technical Issues forum section and added the title.

All kinds of weird things happen when I hit the ctrl key and not the shift key while typing. I really need to find a list of those somewhere.LMD wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2020 5:51 pm I just was in the process of typing post in this thread. Re: Forum Issue
Here - I'm trying to replicate the issue by posting this - and will press the Ctrl button. Nothing happened.
Enter key - nothing happened.
Escape key - nothing happened.
With the issue noted previously, the page just refreshed to another thread with no input from me - keyboard or mouse. feel free to check if you like.

Re: Forum Issue
I just dumped myself from the site ctrl w and opened a new tab ctrl t.
I suspect there are many more.
What browser do you use here?
@J. H. Rasmussen I don't think there is anything for you to do.

Re: Forum Issue
Don't worry about it. I think it happened only one other time besides this one. If memory serves correct you and I bantered back and forth a couple times, and you mentioned that you often Ctrl-c your posts (or something similar).Colbyt wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2020 8:05 pm I just dumped myself from the site ctrl w and opened a new tab ctrl t.

Anyhow, don't worry. I'm past it.

Not worrying, but I have had weird things happen to me at other sites as well and I need to figure out what my fat fingers are doing to cause the problem.LMD wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2020 9:32 pm

Re: Forum Issue
Maybe this thread should be locked. I seem to get at least a few notices a week of updates to this thread clearly by spammers, whose posts have been moderated by the time I get to the thread.
