Happy Sunday everyone....

Post by LMD »

Hi - I can now login and post - thanks ScriptMan for the assist.

I've been around the corner a few times in terms of different forums, and since V7N is apparently now gone, it's nice to find a new place to hang out.

Besides, some business contact with Mostar (spelling?) and to a lesser degree with John by skype (can't remember his alias), I did have some contact with Colinray (at another forum), and also had a few email contact with Roy a while back (I think he was and maybe still is sick, but I don't know how bad it is/was), but that's about it. I pm'ed Colinray this morning, and I'll see of Mostar is still around, and I'll let them know.

Also, I'm not sure I'm receiving email notifications for thread updates. I did receive one for something else (see below). I'm pretty sure I've got that feature enabled.

BTW - although it could have been my registration email that the system didn't like, but when I tried to change the email in my profile (because I wasn't receiving notifications), I think I got bounced out and my account was deactivated.

I did receive an email, that advised to click on a link in the body to reactivate the account, but that was kind of an odd process to go thru?

I have checked the mail server log-file and it does look like the notification emails get thru to your email address. Have you checked your email spam folder?

I think i have currently set it up, so new members can not change their email address, but i just expect they get a notice, not a deactivation. I will look in to it. If you want your email changed please PM an administrator, so it can be taken care of.

Think you could send the text from the reactivate email to me or one of the other administrators via PM so we can have a look at it?

Checked spam folders on Outlook. Checked the server. Nothing.

I did get one email yesterday, as I mentioned previously, with a link to "reactivate" my account, which I followed and it did reactivate it - with the new email.

That was yesterday.

Today, I've not received any email alerts, nor anything for the post you just made at 10:59am EST.

Reactivated account email: [removed] I've used spaces in case this post gets flagged as spam this early in my membership here.

I'm new to this software but I think you have to select notify me each time you post and that option only shows in the full editor. I saw nowhere in the user panel to set that option as a default for all posts.
